ソネット技研：サポート：TIPS：linuxインストール手順

下記はSLES9,10にインストールした記録である．RHELの場合との差異は最後にまとめてある．

必要なファイルを準備する

バイナリファイル

cdromをマウントするか、最新バージョンのバイナリファイルをダウンロードする．ダウンロードサイトはそのつど問い合わせること

ライセンスファイル

ライセンスファイルは米国ソネット社からsonnet.licというファイルが直接メールで送られてくる．

古いバージョンの削除

リモートemサーバーとかを停止する．

たぶんライセンスサーバーも停止しなきゃならない

インストール開始

バイナリファイルを展開する

バイナリファイルはtarで圧縮されているので、まず展開する

unixinstを実行

unixinstを実行して、バイナリを適切な場所にコピーする

installem

installemを実行して、ファイルのパーミッションを適切に設定する

linux:/opt/sonnet # rm -rf /tmp/sonnetsoftware/
linux:/opt/sonnet # exit
logout

ユーザーごとの環境設定

使用するユーザーごとの環境を設定する

ライセンスファイルを設定する

ライセンスファイルを適切な場所にコピーする

ここでsonnet taskbar の[admin]-[license]でダイアログを開きライセンスファイルをbrowseで指定する

上のlinuxがライセンスサーバーのhostname, 7852がport番号である．このライセンスサーバーへのネットワーク到達をチェックしておく

SUSEのデフォルトのインストールではなぜか自分自身への名前解決ができなかったので、 /etc/hostsを修正して対処した

ライセンスサーバーの起動とチェック

daemonの起動設定

再起動したときにライセンスサーバーやその他のサービス(daemon)が動くように設定する

ところが、このsoninstallserviceにはbugがありsuseでは間違った設定をしてしまうので、修正する．この修正はredhatでは必要ない

再起動してチェック

ライセンスは得られているが、設定を書き込めないという警告が出ている．これは最初にsonnetを起動したときsudoしたので設定ディレクトリがroot権限になってしまったのである．

最大メモリ使用量の確認

# 64bitOSでデフォルトのcheckmemを使うと32bitモードの4GBのメモリしか報告されない．
# 64bitOSでは $SONNET_DIR/arch/linux86/bin/bin64/checkmem を使うこと

OpenGLのチェック

64-bit Processing Memory Setting(overcommit_memoryの修正)

Ver12の"UNIX and Linux Installtion"マニュアル P23に記述されている 64-bit Processing Memory Setting(overcommit_memoryの修正)はマニュアルの間違いです．この設定は必要ありません．

redhatの場合の追加情報

なぜかsudoができず su でやった
profileはないのでbash_profile
daemon起動順序はちゃんとS98sonnetflexlm, S99sonnetemserverになってるので修正は不要
pdfviewerが無いので、acroreadをinstallするか、xpdfとかある物を使う．たとえば、ln -s /usr/bin/xpdf /opt/sonnet/bin/acroread とかしておく

よくあるトラブル

サポート外のディストリビューションを使っている

sonnetのinstallの時に soninstallserviceに失敗する

正規のRHELでなくCentOSとかのRHEL cloneでは

soninstallservice -i -c redhat flexlm
soninstallservice -i -c redhat emserver

の様に明示的にredhatを指定しないと失敗します．

libなんとかが無い

<sonnet_dir>/bin/sonnetを実行すると

error while loading shared libraries: libなんとか: cannot 
open shared object file: No such file or directory

となる． RedHatのインストール時に
"legacy software development package"(古い開発プログラム)関連のパッケージがインストールされていないと libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3がないといわれる．
"X development package"(Xの開発プログラム)関連のパッケージがインストールされていないと libMrm.so.3がないといわれる．
'redhat-config-packages'でパッケージを追加する．

マニュアルボタンを押しても反応しない

acroreadがPATHに含まれて居ない

日本語マニュアルの字が化ける

acroreadの日本語フォントがインストールされていない．

ここからアジア向けのフォントをダウンロードしてインストールすること

OSの起動時にusbキードライバが警告を出す．

ドライバーのバグ．動作には問題ない．気にしないこと．

usbキーを一旦抜くと復帰しない、、事がある．

usbキーをいったん抜くと

$SONNET_DIR/bin/sflexlm -r stop
$SONNET_DIR/bin/sflexlm -r start

では復帰しない

ps aex|grep lmgrd

でゾンビになってるプロセスを探して粘着的に殺してゆくこと

killall lmgrd

でもいいかもしれない．そもそもUSBキーを廃止するべき

色がダサい、あるいは3D viewが見えない．

Xを24bitにセットすること．マニュアルに明記されている．

それでも3D animationが遅い

グラフィックやアニメーションのパフォーマンスでlinuxはwindows+最新のGPUに到底かなわない．
